Year 2026 finds Mauro living and performing in Berlin, where he is an active member of the local music scene. His current projects include regular live presentations with "Wind Mile", the "Humboldt-Universität Big Band" and "Maiorano", with whom he toured Italy in 2023 and Germany in 2024 and 2025. This work is complemented by educational activities as part of the Braintree Academy staff, private bass lessons, and consistent engagements as a live and studio session musician. Recent highlights include Wind Mile´s performance at New York´s New Colossus Festival (2025) and Uk Tour (2026), Baby Jaguar´s Poland Tour (2024), Julieta Rod´s concerts in Berlin and Copenhagen, and Moro LaFlor´s Japan Tour (2023).
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mauro is a skilled and versatile bass player with a solid academic background. He holds a degree in electric bass performance from the Escuela Municipal de Música Popular de Ituzaingó and has furthered his studies at institutions such as the "Alberto Ginastera" Music College, the "Leopoldo Marechal" School of Arts, and the "Manuel de Falla" Music College, specializing in jazz and double bass. Mauro has also participated in orchestra and big band workshops and attended masterclasses by internationally renowned musicians like Juan Pablo Navarro, Larry Grenadier, Ed Neumeister, and Wolfgang Muthspiel.
In Argentina he has built a performing career, recording, touring, and playing at music festivals and local venues with groups such as "Manu Molina y el Guiso de la Ostia," "Doméstico," and "Molécula."
Since relocating to Europe in 2019, Mauro has expanded his artistic journey starting in Copenhagen. There, he performed with projects such as "Julieta Rod," "Cumbia Collective," and "Parabel" at events like the Juice Box Festival and the Geyser Sangskriver Festival. In Berlin, his career has flourished, with more than fifty concerts in the last three years, collaborations, and teaching activities forming the core of his professional life.
His work reflects his dedication to music as both an art form and a profession, with a focus on creating meaningful connections through performance and education.
